The move aims to give employers and self-employed a <strong data-start=\"443\" data-end=\"466\">one-year grace period<\/strong> to settle their obligations without additional interest for the year 2026.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"893\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the President, the government recognizes the <strong data-start=\"639\" data-end=\"664\">burden of contributions<\/strong> on citizens, especially in the business sector. Under the announcement, <strong data-start=\"760\" data-end=\"804\">delayed premiums from 2013 to 2024<\/strong> can be paid, which is expected to benefit approximately <strong data-start=\"853\" data-end=\"877\">300,000 beneficiaries<\/strong> nationwide.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"1306\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">At the same time, employers are encouraged to <strong data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"978\">update their information<\/strong> and register employees in the <strong data-start=\"1013\" data-end=\"1030\">YAKAP program<\/strong>, a PhilHealth initiative that provides <strong data-start=\"1080\" data-end=\"1125\">basic laboratory services and selected medications<\/strong>.
