In <em data-start=\"754\" data-end=\"762\">Canada<\/em> and <em data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"774\">Poland<\/em>, the impact was even greater\u2014up to 10 points.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"1088\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <em data-start=\"843\" data-end=\"865\">Professor David Rand<\/em> of Cornell University, this change is enough to affect <em data-start=\"937\" data-end=\"955\">voting decisions<\/em>. He said that \u201c<em data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"984\">one in 10<\/em>\u201d in Canada and Poland changed their voter choice, while \u201c<em data-start=\"1063\" data-end=\"1074\">one in 25<\/em>\u201d in the US.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1445\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The study also showed that the most effective way for chatbots to persuade was to be <em data-start=\"1193\" data-end=\"1203\">polite<\/em> and provide <em data-start=\"1221\" data-end=\"1232\">evidence<\/em>. Notably, the impact was weaker for bots that <em data-start=\"1286\" data-end=\"1310\">were not allowed to use facts<\/em>. But not all AI \u201cevidence\u201d is correct\u2014some of it is <em data-start=\"1373\" data-end=\"1393\">misinformation<\/em>, especially when it favors <em data-start=\"1418\">right-leaning candidates<\/em>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1447\" data-end=\"1652\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">It was also discovered that even after a month, <em data-start=\"1522\" data-end=\"1528\">half<\/em> of the effect remained in Britain and <em data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1564\">one-third<\/em> in the US.
