data-end=\"277\">2026<\/strong>, proof that this sub-compact is still very much alive. Instead of retiring it, it was given <strong data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"396\">new features<\/strong> in Japan such as <em data-start=\"415\" data-end=\"447\">60\/40 split-folding rear seats<\/em>, <em data-start=\"449\" data-end=\"469\">rear privacy glass<\/em>, <em data-start=\"471\" data-end=\"490\">360-degree camera<\/em>, and <em data-start=\"495\" data-end=\"512\" data-is-only-node=\"\">parking sensors<\/em>. It also now has <strong data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"567\">auto-dimming rearview mirror<\/strong> for safer driving.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"604\" data-end=\"849\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The vehicle's tech features have also been improved as it now gets the <strong data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"706\">8.8-inch Mazda Connect system<\/strong>, which is used in newer models such as the Mazda3, CX-60, and MX-5. As a result, the Mazda2's infotainment is now more modern and user-friendly.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"851\" data-end=\"1218\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The most exciting is the release of the <strong data-start=\"894\" data-end=\"929\">Mazda2 15MB (Motorsports-Based)<\/strong>. This variant has a <strong data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"998\">more powerful 1.5L Skyactiv-G engine<\/strong> that delivers <strong data-start=\"1016\" data-end=\"1034\">116 horsepower<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1055\">149 Nm torque<\/strong>. This is higher compared to the regular Mazda2. Along with the power bump is a <strong data-start=\"1127\" data-end=\"1158\">6-speed manual transmission<\/strong> with different gear ratios for sportier performance.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1220\" data-end=\"1424\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">To be lighter and faster, Mazda has also reduced the weight of the 15MB by <strong data-start=\"1304\" data-end=\"1320\">50 kilograms<\/strong>. Some comfort features and even <strong data-start=\"1373\" data-end=\"1381\">ADAS<\/strong> have been removed, so that it is more focused on the motorsports setup.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1426\" data-end=\"1647\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">With all these updates, it's clear that the <strong data-start=\"1493\" data-end=\"1503\">Mazda2<\/strong> will continue to compete until <strong data-start=\"1513\" data-end=\"1521\">2026<\/strong>.
