She was six months pregnant when the ground suddenly collapsed under her feet.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"643\" data-end=\"912\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Her grandmother, Maria Theresa, heard her granddaughter's screams and immediately went out to help. Maria Margaret's body was submerged almost to her waist, and it was sinking slowly because of the soft ground. Grandma Theresa called for help from her neighbors.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"914\" data-end=\"1211\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It took more than 30 minutes before rescuers were able to lift Maria Margaret out using a ladder. She is currently in the hospital and undergoing an ultrasound to see the condition of the baby. She also has wounds on her body. The grandmother was also injured after falling while rushing to help.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1213\" data-end=\"1471\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Grandma Theresa said that during typhoon Kristine, there were two large sinkholes behind their house. The river bank on the side of the house was also gradually collapsing.
