The exact amount was not disclosed, but it is estimated to be in the millions of pesos.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"1140\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The case was filed by GEMA, the association of musicians, writers and publishers in Germany. According to their legal adviser Kai Welp, they hope this will be the start of a conversation about how to properly pay song rights holders.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1142\" data-end=\"1428\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">OpenAI insists that it does not directly store or copy the lyrics, but only learns based on the total data used in training. But according to the court, the AI's very ability to remember and reproduce the lyrics is a clear violation of <em data-start=\"1414\" data-end=\"1425\">copyright<\/em>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1430\" data-end=\"1668\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">GEMA CEO Tobias Holzmueller said, <em data-start=\"1469\" data-end=\"1565\">\u201cThe internet is not a store where you can just take what you want.
