The unique motorcycle was donated by BMW to help children's projects in <strong data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"556\">Madagascar<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"561\" data-end=\"807\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The auction was held on <strong data-start=\"589\" data-end=\"609\">October 18, 2025<\/strong>, where many motorcycle enthusiasts sought to acquire the historic unit. In the end, it was sold for a huge amount in support of <strong data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"786\">charity projects<\/strong> in the said country.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"809\" data-end=\"1098\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"835\">Markus Flasch<\/strong>, CEO of BMW Motorrad, it is a great honor for them to see that Pope Leo XIV's signature on the BMW R18 has helped a good cause. He also expressed his gratitude to the new owner who now owns a <strong data-start=\"1064\" data-end=\"1081\">one-of-a-kind<\/strong> motorcycle.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1100\" data-end=\"1334\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The \u20b18.9 million raised from the auction will be used to fund projects that will help <strong data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1233\">children in need<\/strong> in Madagascar.
