Bajaj<\/strong>, managing director of Bajaj Auto, the cost-cutting targets include <strong data-start=\"688\" data-end=\"742\">research and development, marketing, and operations.<\/strong> Of KTM's total 4,000 employees, only about 1,000 are actually in production \u2014 which is why he called it an \"unbalanced and unsustainable\" system.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"1223\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Bajaj further emphasized that the company needs <strong data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"1028\">operational discipline and clear value creation<\/strong>, rather than just chasing valuation. He also added that excessive <strong data-start=\"1130\" data-end=\"1149\">corporate greed<\/strong> among the management has caused problems for KTM, resulting in high costs and risks in expansion.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1492\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">As Bajaj Auto strengthens its control over parent company Pierer Mobility AG, expect <strong data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1366\">changes in KTM's structure.<\/strong> But in return, there are fears that <strong data-start=\"1404\" data-end=\"1461\">funding for motorsport or racing activities will be reduced<\/strong> as part of the cost-cutting measures.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1753\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">If the cost-cutting is fully implemented, it is expected to affect not only the racing team but also several KTM projects in Europe.
