According to the LTO, the vehicle was registered in 2024 and already has a license plate but it has not been attached.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"623\" data-end=\"903\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The LTO further confirmed that the importer of the said vehicle is the same company that imported several luxury cars that were previously flagged due to smuggling issues. Despite the complete paperwork, it is now investigating whether there were any bigger problems in the importation process.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"905\" data-end=\"1206\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">According to Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao, the failure to attach the license plate is only a minor violation but the issue could be deeper. The LTO is already coordinating with Customs to verify if the tax documents and import papers of the vehicle, which is worth millions of pesos, are in order.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1208\" data-end=\"1465\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The LTO urged vehicle owners who purchased vehicles through private importers to ensure that the paperwork is complete and that the license plate is attached. It said they should immediately contact government agencies if they have any doubts about the legality of their purchase.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1467\" data-end=\"1581\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Korean national declined to give a statement when asked by the media at the LTO office in Quezon City.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ang isang mamahaling luxury car na pagmamay-ari ng isang Korean national ay na-impound ng LTO enforcement team sa Bonifacio Global City matapos mahuling walang nakakabit na plaka.
