Umaga ng Biyernes, isang magnitude 7.4 na lindol ang tumama sa dagat, 44 kilometro hilagang-silangan ng Manay. Dalawa agad ang nasawi at ilang pamilya ang naapektuhan.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"708\" data-end=\"988\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Makalipas ang ilang oras, pasado alas-7 ng gabi, isang magnitude 6.8 na lindol ang naitala rin sa dagat. Paliwanag ng Phivolcs, hiwalay itong lindol at hindi maituturing na aftershock. Tinawag itong <em data-start=\"907\" data-end=\"916\">doublet<\/em> dahil halos magkapareho ang lakas, lugar, at oras ng dalawang lindol.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"990\" data-end=\"1321\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Ayon kay Phivolcs Director Teresito Bacolcol, kung aftershock ito dapat isang antas lang ang ibinababa ng lakas, kaya mula 7.4 magiging 6.4. Dagdag pa niya, ang ganitong pangyayari ay nangyayari kapag komplikado ang fault o pinagmumulan ng lindol. Naitala na rin ang doublet sa Pilipinas noong 1992 at kamakailan lang noong 2023.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1323\" data-end=\"1606\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Nasa Philippine Trench nagmula ang pagyanig. Bagama\u2019t marami ang nag-aalala, sinabi ng Phivolcs na maliit ang posibilidad na mag-trigger pa ito ng mas malakas na lindol tulad ng magnitude 7.5 o 7.6.
