Also denied were <strong data-start=\"775\" data-end=\"806\">motions for reconsideration<\/strong> by former PAGCOR president <strong data-start=\"836\" data-end=\"856\">Rafael Francisco<\/strong>, senior VP <strong data-start=\"868\" data-end=\"885\">Rene Figueroa<\/strong>, senior VP for corporate communications <strong data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"953\">Edward \u201cDodie\u201d King<\/strong>, and assistant VP for internal audit <strong data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1014\">Valente Custodio<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1019\" data-end=\"1318\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">On May 9, 2025, they were found guilty of five counts of the <strong data-start=\"1087\" data-end=\"1127\">Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act<\/strong> and five counts of <strong data-start=\"1148\" data-end=\"1180\">malversation of public funds<\/strong>. In addition to the fine, the court ordered them to <strong data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1260\">pay the government P40.407 million<\/strong> with 6% interest per year until paid in full.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1320\" data-end=\"1798\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The case was filed by the Office of the Ombudsman in 2013 and related to PAGCOR's improper spending from 2005 to 2008 for the purchase of <strong data-start=\"1469\" data-end=\"1497\">tarpaulins, t-shirts, caps<\/strong>, and other promotional items, as well as for the BIDA Foundation founded by Genuino in 2003.
