If the government ends the program, thousands of families will lose their income.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"730\" data-end=\"1036\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"739\" data-end=\"758\">Romeo Maglunsod<\/strong>, Chairman of the Motorcycle Community Philippines, in four <strong data-start=\"817\" data-end=\"843\">congressional sessions<\/strong>, MC Taxi has still not been legislated. As time goes by, more and more previously legitimate riders are forced to <strong data-start=\"976\" data-end=\"991\">habal-habal<\/strong>, due to the lack of clear regulations.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1315\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">He added that their original request to lawmakers was simple\u2014to eliminate <strong data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1156\">illegal operations<\/strong>. But because there is still no permanent law, almost the entire MC Taxi sector is becoming \u201cillegal.\u201d Because of this, compliance with due process is also decreasing.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1519\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The group emphasizes that the main goal is <strong data-start=\"1373\" data-end=\"1387\">safety<\/strong> of riders and passengers.
