It will also serve as the primary disbursement account for members, eliminating the need to enroll in the Disbursement Account Enrollment Module.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"853\" data-end=\"1060\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Aside from SSS transactions, the card can also be used for shopping, fares, and online shopping. It has an EMV chip and is connected to biometric and National ID verification for greater security against fraud.<\/span><\/p><h2 data-start=\"1062\" data-end=\"1188\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong data-start=\"1062\" data-end=\"1095\">How to apply for a MySSS Card<\/strong><\/span><\/h2><p data-start=\"1062\" data-end=\"1188\"><br data-start=\"1095\" data-end=\"1098\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Starting October 1, you can now apply through the My.SSS Member Portal. Follow these steps:<\/span><\/p><ol data-start=\"1190\" data-end=\"1766\"><li data-start=\"1190\" data-end=\"1262\"><p data-start=\"1193\" data-end=\"1262\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Log in to your My.SSS account. If you don't have one, create one first.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1312\"><p data-start=\"1266\" data-end=\"1312\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Select \u201cMySSS Card\u201d from the Services menu.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1313\" data-end=\"1364\"><p data-start=\"1316\" data-end=\"1364\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Update and confirm personal details.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1365\" data-end=\"1451\"><p data-start=\"1368\" data-end=\"1451\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Allow SSS to verify your identity using your National ID.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1452\" data-end=\"1537\"><p data-start=\"1455\" data-end=\"1537\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Choose a partner bank and agree to the terms to share data with the bank.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1603\"><p data-start=\"1541\" data-end=\"1603\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">You will receive a confirmation in your My.SSS account and email.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1604\" data-end=\"1692\"><p data-start=\"1607\" data-end=\"1692\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Use the bank's online app or go to the branch for verification and payment.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1693\" data-end=\"1766\"><p data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"1766\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">When ready, the card will be sent or you can also pick it up at the branch.<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ol><h2 data-start=\"1768\" data-end=\"2079\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong data-start=\"1768\" data-end=\"1795\">Card Release and Fees<\/strong><\/span><\/h2><p data-start=\"1768\" data-end=\"2079\"><br data-start=\"1795\" data-end=\"1798\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In Metro Manila, the MySSS Card will be received within 15 working days after account opening. Outside Metro Manila, expect 20 working days.
