A<\/strong> construction worker from Tondo, Manila died after being shot in the neck during an anti-corruption protest on September 21 in Mendiola.<\/span><\/p>

According to forensic pathologist Raquel Fortun, the medical certificate stated that Eric Saber, 35 years old, died from a perforating gunshot wound<\/strong> to the neck which also caused spinal cord injury<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>

The Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU)<\/strong> group said Saber was shot by police amid the violent dispersal of protesters. But police insisted that no shooting took place.<\/span><\/p>

According to Brig. Gen. Randulf Tua\u00f1o, one person was killed in the incident\u2014a 15-year-old student who was stabbed and not shot. \u201cThere was no shooting connected to the protest,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>
