BYD in China has not just an ace<\/strong> but a whole card<\/strong> up their sleeve. Over the course of a few days of touring, they showed off their headquarters in Shenzhen<\/strong>, Di Space Museum<\/strong>, and All-Terrain Circuit<\/strong> in Zhengzhou. Here, you can see that BYD isn't just making cars\u2014they're making the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

BYD<\/strong> is their main brand sold worldwide. They also have the more premium Denza<\/strong>, Fangchengbao<\/strong> for luxury off-roaders, and Yangwang<\/strong>, an ultra-luxury and high-performance brand. In fact, the Yangwang U9<\/strong> is currently the fastest production car in the world, reaching 496 km\/h<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

BYD boasts of their various platforms<\/strong> such as DM-i<\/strong>, DM-O<\/strong>, and the new DM-P<\/strong> for All-Wheel Drive plug-in hybrids. For EVs, they have the e-Platform 3.0, the Super e-Platform that can charge 400 km in just 5 minutes, and the e4 used by Yangwang models.<\/p>\n

Their Blade Batteries<\/strong> come in various sizes (short, square, long) and use cell-to-body technology<\/strong>, making them safer and more durable than other batteries. One of BYD's proudest features is that they do not easily explode or catch fire even if punctured.<\/span><\/p>\n

In their R&D Division<\/strong>, they have 120,000 engineers<\/strong> and over 35,000 patents<\/strong> approved, while 59,000+<\/strong> are pending. They also have Golden Patents<\/strong> which are important not only to BYD but to the entire country. This dedication to innovation is why they are ahead of the competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the All-Terrain Circuit<\/strong>, BYD showcased the capabilities of their vehicles. The Yangwang U9<\/strong> has powerful acceleration and cornering, while the Yangwang U8<\/strong> has a unique feature that can float on water for up to 30 minutes<\/strong>\u2014a big help in flood-prone countries like the Philippines.<\/span><\/p>\n

Apart from cars, they also make SkyRail<\/strong> and SkyShuttle<\/strong>, electric trains<\/strong> that are affordable to build and can provide faster transportation in cities. This could be the answer to Metro Manila's traffic jams if implemented.<\/span><\/p>\n

From cars, SUVs, luxury brands, batteries, to trains<\/strong>, BYD is showing that they can change the future of mobility. Consider that they only started making cars in 2003, but now they are one of the world's leaders.
