According to President <strong data-start=\"474\" data-end=\"509\">Ferdinand \u201cBongbong\u201d Marcos Jr.<\/strong>, the money will be used to further expand PhilHealth benefits and services.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"596\" data-end=\"833\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Marcos explained that many people are worried that PhilHealth's services may be reduced after the transfer of funds. He said, \u201cThis is a matter of life and death, so we cannot blame the people if they have concerns.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"835\" data-end=\"1028\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">He added that the return of <strong data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"883\">P60 billion<\/strong> is not only to allay public fears, but also to ensure that more Filipinos will benefit from <strong data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1025\">health services<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1315\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">At the same time, the President mentioned that there were savings from the <strong data-start=\"1097\" data-end=\"1147\">Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)<\/strong>. Because of this, there will be no more budget allocated for <strong data-start=\"1195\" data-end=\"1221\">flood control projects<\/strong> in 2026, but the projects will still continue using the <strong data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1299\">P350 billion budget<\/strong> for 2025.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1514\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Investigations into alleged <strong data-start=\"1363\" data-end=\"1376\">corruption<\/strong> in flood control projects are also ongoing.
