It's been five years since I caught him <em data-start=\"746\" data-end=\"757\">leaving<\/em>. I tell myself that <em data-start=\"787\" data-end=\"809\">I've forgiven him<\/em>, but every time I think back to what happened, I can't help but feel angry.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"1449\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Not to brag, but I know <em data-start=\"928\" data-end=\"941\">I'm beautiful<\/em>. When I was young, I was offered to be a model several times but I turned it down because I preferred to focus on my family. We had a good life, we were happy, and I had no idea that he would trade me for another woman. What hurt even more, he traded me for a woman who in my eyes was <em data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1242\">ugly<\/em>. Yes, I don't want to insult you but this is what she really looked like: <em data-start=\"1310\" data-end=\"1348\">with a big mouth and protruding chin<\/em>. It hurt so much because he left me for someone I never expected to be able to take me away.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1451\" data-end=\"1761\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Just a month later, my husband came back. He knelt down in front of me and <em data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1550\">asked for forgiveness<\/em>. He said he just got carried away and that he regretted what he had done. Because I love him and because of our children, I chose to <em data-start=\"1678\" data-end=\"1694\">forgive him<\/em>. He came back home and we tried to fix the marriage.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"2098\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">But it's not that easy. When the night is quiet and I suddenly remember his betrayal, it's like <em data-start=\"1871\" data-end=\"1895\">I'm choking on anger<\/em>. I wonder why he <em data-start=\"1928\" data-end=\"1951\">exchanged me for the ugly one<\/em>, even though I know I have no shortcomings as a wife. I never left him even once, I always took care of him and worked hard for the family.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2100\" data-end=\"2454\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">They say that true <em data-start=\"2124\" data-end=\"2138\">forgiveness<\/em> must be accompanied by <em data-start=\"2161\" data-end=\"2171\">forgetting<\/em>. But what if I can't forget? What if every memory of that incident is like a wound that reopens? I often pray and ask for <em data-start=\"2332\" data-end=\"2349\">God's help<\/em> to remove the anger I feel. I want to move on, I want my heart to be whole again.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2456\" data-end=\"2787\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">So now, this is my <em data-start=\"2483\" data-end=\"2495\">confession<\/em>: I have forgiven my husband, but I still can't forget the pain. I am waiting for the day when the <em data-start=\"2627\" data-end=\"2634\">anger<\/em> will completely disappear and only <em data-start=\"2661\" data-end=\"2671\">love<\/em> will remain.
