According to the BOC, <strong data-start=\"387\" data-end=\"414\">12 imported luxury cars<\/strong> should be confiscated due to possible violations of the <strong data-start=\"469\" data-end=\"509\">Customs Modernization and Tariff Act<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"514\" data-end=\"875\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Only two were initially found in the compound: a <strong data-start=\"561\" data-end=\"589\">2024 Toyota Land Cruiser<\/strong> and a <strong data-start=\"599\" data-end=\"631\">2022 Maserati Levante Modena<\/strong>. But later, all <strong data-start=\"675\" data-end=\"693\">12 luxury cars<\/strong> were also found, including a <strong data-start=\"708\" data-end=\"872\">Rolls Royce Cullinan 2023, Bentley Bentayga, Mercedes Benz G-Class (Brabus), Toyota Tundra 2022, Toyota Sequoia, GMC Yukon Denali 2022 and Lincoln Navigator 2024<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"1279\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">BOC Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said they will ensure that all <strong data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"1004\">unpaid taxes and duties<\/strong> are collected. According to Sen. Erwin Tulfo, the tax owed on vehicles could exceed <strong data-start=\"1054\" data-end=\"1069\">\u20b1100 million<\/strong>, because the tax rate is almost <strong data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1164\">100% of the car's price<\/strong>. For example, if a luxury car costs <strong data-start=\"1223\" data-end=\"1237\">\u20b122 million<\/strong>, the tax is also almost <strong data-start=\"1258\" data-end=\"1276\">\u20b122 million<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1281\" data-end=\"1627\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Meanwhile, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto cast doubt on Sarah Discaya's statements at the Senate hearing. He called them <strong data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1422\">\u201ccontradictory\u201d<\/strong> and alleged that <strong data-start=\"1453\" data-end=\"1464\">dummies<\/strong> were used in the Discaya family's construction firms. Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, on the other hand, threatened that Sarah could be cited in contempt for allegedly lying.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1629\" data-end=\"1940\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Apart from the car, the hearing also revealed that Discaya companies are connected to <strong data-start=\"1720\" data-end=\"1746\">flood control projects<\/strong> worth <strong data-start=\"1761\" data-end=\"1777\">\u20b11.3 trillion<\/strong>.
