This aims to help <strong data-start=\"649\" data-end=\"670\">indigent patients<\/strong> or poor patients.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"699\" data-end=\"952\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"708\" data-end=\"747\">Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman<\/strong>, this fund includes the payment of <strong data-start=\"784\" data-end=\"826\">room and board, medicines, and medical tests<\/strong> in public hospitals. <strong data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"879\">PhilHealth<\/strong> will cover all covered expenses, so the patient will not have to pay anything.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"954\" data-end=\"1223\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Special Assistant to the President Frederick Go said that this amount was estimated by the DOH to implement the ZBB program. However, according to <strong data-start=\"1109\" data-end=\"1131\">Senator Bam Aquino<\/strong>, the P20 billion is insufficient because the program would have been implemented long ago if it had been sufficient.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1537\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">For next year, the DOH's total funding will also increase by <strong data-start=\"1264\" data-end=\"1277\">P6 billion<\/strong> to <strong data-start=\"1316\" data-end=\"1333\">P253.5 billion<\/strong> from the current <strong data-start=\"1355\" data-end=\"1372\">P247.5 billion<\/strong>. In addition, there is a <strong data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1414\">P53.2 billion subsidy<\/strong> for <strong data-start=\"1427\" data-end=\"1441\">PhilHealth<\/strong> after no funds were allocated this year due to the agency's large remaining funds.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1539\" data-end=\"1776\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Based on <strong data-start=\"1557\" data-end=\"1564\">DOF<\/strong> data, PhilHealth's remaining funds are expected to reach <strong data-start=\"1586\" data-end=\"1601\">P348 billion<\/strong> by the end of 2025.
