This is the equivalent of <strong data-start=\"485\" data-end=\"508\">five days of rain<\/strong> falling in just one hour.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"552\" data-end=\"808\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"569\" data-end=\"579\">PAGASA<\/strong> data, most of the rain fell from <strong data-start=\"616\" data-end=\"642\">2 p.m. to 3 p.m.<\/strong> on Saturday. Experts explained that the intensity of the rain was higher than the normal <strong data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"757\">torrential rain<\/strong> which is usually <strong data-start=\"777\" data-end=\"805\">30mm\/hr to 60mm\/hr<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"1070\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The cost of rainwater rose to <strong data-start=\"821\" data-end=\"833\">\u20b1141,000<\/strong> if the 141mm rainfall is converted into pesos per millimeter. The weight and volume of the rain could not be handled by the <strong data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"1003\">city's drainage system<\/strong>, causing flooding in <strong data-start=\"1029\" data-end=\"1067\">36 barangays in Districts 1, 3 and 4<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1072\" data-end=\"1294\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Rainfall reached <strong data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1121\">121mm in one hour<\/strong>, higher than the <strong data-start=\"1155\" data-end=\"1186\">90mm\/hr recorded during typhoon Ondoy<\/strong>. As a result, some roads were submerged and even areas that <strong data-start=\"1247\" data-end=\"1276\">are not normally flooded<\/strong> were affected.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1296\" data-end=\"1451\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">According to the local government, the excessive amount of rainwater in a short time caused severe problems, affecting many residents.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ang Quezon City ay nakaranas ng biglaang pagbaha matapos bumuhos ang 141 millimeters ng ulan noong Agosto 30.
