This is a big step for the American car brand, which will become the 11th team on the F1 grid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"612\" data-end=\"992\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Both P\u00e9rez and Bottas are racing veterans. <strong data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"674\">P\u00e9rez<\/strong> has 6 wins and 39 podium finishes in his F1 career, while <strong data-start=\"754\" data-end=\"764\">Bottas<\/strong> has 10 wins and helped win 5 constructors\u2019 championships while at Mercedes. Despite their one-year break, they bring with them a wealth of experience and success that can be used to strengthen the new team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1362\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1012\">P\u00e9rez<\/strong>, joining Cadillac is a \u201cnew exciting chapter\u201d in his career. He added that it is a great honor to help build a team that will one day compete at the front. Meanwhile, <strong data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1244\">Bottas<\/strong> said that the project is not just about racing, but a \u201clong-term vision\u201d that he will help shape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1364\" data-end=\"1625\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The Team Principal also stated that their choice is important because they will not only be racers but also \u201cbuilders\u201d of the team\u2019s identity and foundation.
