Together with his partner <strong data-start=\"492\" data-end=\"508\">Jimmy Howson<\/strong>, they presented the new look of the vehicle at <strong data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"577\">Monterey Car Week<\/strong> after their previous project with the <strong data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"637\">Porsche 2.7 RS<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"642\" data-end=\"962\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">First built in <strong data-start=\"658\" data-end=\"669\">England<\/strong> and shipped to <strong data-start=\"686\" data-end=\"696\">Canada<\/strong> in 1959, the left-hand-drive <strong data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"747\">2.25 petrol<\/strong> spent nearly four decades with its original owner before returning to the UK in 2002. It was never road registered and is now one of only six remaining <strong data-start=\"892\" data-end=\"908\">Series 2 LHD<\/strong>s in the UK\u2014only three of which are in their original chassis.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"964\" data-end=\"1278\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Howson bought the car this year and restored it in Essex from <strong data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1058\">March to July<\/strong> before bringing it to the U.S. for display. Many of the <strong data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1136\">original panels<\/strong> have been retained, but an additional <strong data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1188\">engine and gearbox rebuild<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1190\" data-end=\"1211\">Wolf alloy wheels<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1213\" data-end=\"1231\">CarPlay system<\/strong>, and new <strong data-start=\"1243\" data-end=\"1275\">rear seating with speakers<\/strong> have been added.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1280\" data-end=\"1609\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">This project showcases Wotherspoon's signature\u2014a fusion of <strong data-start=\"1349\" data-end=\"1382\">heritage and modern design<\/strong>.
