According to prosecution panel spokesperson <strong data-start=\"454\" data-end=\"471\">Antonio Bucoy<\/strong>, they are preparing for possible oral arguments on the motion for reconsideration they filed.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"577\" data-end=\"883\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">If the Supreme Court ultimately rejects the appeal, Bucoy said he expects a new impeachment complaint to be filed against Duterte come February, after a one-year ban. He stressed that <strong data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"825\">accountability<\/strong> is important so as not to set a bad example for the government.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"885\" data-end=\"1225\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Bucoy also denied that the impeachment was fabricated and insisted that it was a formal complaint signed by <strong data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1025\">215 members of Congress<\/strong> \u2014 more than the required <strong data-start=\"1055\" data-end=\"1063\">\u20b1102<\/strong> (equivalent to one-third of the number of members). He also criticized the Supreme Court for allegedly <strong data-start=\"1163\" data-end=\"1178\">\u201cchanging\u201d<\/strong> the Constitution in their decision.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1487\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Despite Duterte's influence in the Senate, Bucoy said it was important that they presented evidence against the Vice President.
