This includes topics such as sexuality, sexual health, and family planning. The goal of such education is to help students make responsible decisions about their health and relationships.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"708\" data-end=\"1037\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Support was highest in Metro Manila, reaching <strong data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"805\">84%<\/strong>, followed by Luzon with <strong data-start=\"832\" data-end=\"839\">78%<\/strong>, while Mindanao had <strong data-start=\"868\" data-end=\"875\">67%<\/strong>. There was also no significant gap in support based on wealth or status in life\u2014from the wealthy class ABC to the poorest class E, most were still in favor.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1309\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the data, <strong data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1121\">87% of youth aged 18-24<\/strong> supported sex education, while only <strong data-start=\"1161\" data-end=\"1168\">66%<\/strong> of those aged 45-54 agreed. This shows that younger people are more open-minded about accurate information about sexuality.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1580\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">There was also not much difference in support based on religion. Among Catholics, <strong data-start=\"1434\" data-end=\"1441\">73%<\/strong> were in favor. Among Muslims, <strong data-start=\"1468\" data-end=\"1475\">74%<\/strong> agreed, although <strong data-start=\"1502\" data-end=\"1509\">16%<\/strong> were opposed. Among members of the Iglesia ni Cristo, <strong data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1565\">70%<\/strong> agreed.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1580\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to a child rights group, it is time to pass a bill to prevent early pregnancy and implement <strong data-start=\"1756\" data-end=\"1793\">Comprehensive Sexuality Education<\/strong> nationwide. This is essential to provide young people with sufficient knowledge to <strong data-start=\"1887\" data-end=\"1987\">protect themselves against abuse, early pregnancy, and diseases like HIV<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1990\" data-end=\"2235\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">In addition, based on PSA data, girls aged 10 to 14 are getting pregnant by men older than them.
