Honestly, we just wanted to have <strong data-start=\"468\" data-end=\"486\">an extra income<\/strong>. So we tried almost every <strong data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"533\">networking<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"554\">sales marketing<\/strong>, and any <strong data-start=\"574\" data-end=\"585\">seminar<\/strong> that promised quick money. The ending? Almost all the <strong data-start=\"663\" data-end=\"671\">money<\/strong> we invested was wasted.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"711\" data-end=\"1010\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"711\" data-end=\"760\">We just dream of making a good living.<\/strong> We want to save, have extra for necessities, and help our family. But despite all our <strong data-start=\"886\" data-end=\"896\">efforts<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"923\" data-end=\"932\">sales<\/strong> are still low. Mark is tired, and he almost doesn't want to try anymore. He keeps saying:<\/span><\/p><blockquote data-start=\"1011\" data-end=\"1091\"><p data-start=\"1013\" data-end=\"1091\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em data-start=\"1013\" data-end=\"1089\">\u201cAileen, not everything that looks good in presentation is also good in reality.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1465\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1124\">It's hard to rely on promises.<\/strong> I can't count how many times we've heard the words \"you'll make money right away\" and \"this is the key to financial freedom.\" Many programs are great at first\u2014powerpoints, success stories, and motivational talks. But in real life, not everyone is given the right support. Sometimes, they become more of a <strong data-start=\"1435\" data-end=\"1446\">burden<\/strong> than a help.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1467\" data-end=\"1746\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1467\" data-end=\"1520\">We learned the value of trust in the product.<\/strong> Mark said, before you join, you must believe in the <strong data-start=\"1574\" data-end=\"1586\">product<\/strong>. Because how can you sell if you yourself are not convinced? That's true. Because we noticed, it's really easier to sell when you feel the value of what you're holding.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1748\" data-end=\"2056\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1748\" data-end=\"1783\">Do your research before jumping in.<\/strong> We also learned that you can't just be a jerk. You need to find out the <strong data-start=\"1853\" data-end=\"1879\">history of the company<\/strong>, whether it's <strong data-start=\"1886\" data-end=\"1895\">legal<\/strong>, whether it has a clear plan, and real <strong data-start=\"1935\" data-end=\"1958\">proof of success<\/strong>. It's not just about recruitment and profit. Because often, when you only chase profit, you lose in the end.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2058\" data-end=\"2176\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"2058\" data-end=\"2092\">We looked for another way.<\/strong> After we stumbled a few times, we had a serious talk. I said to Mark:<\/span><\/p><blockquote data-start=\"2177\" data-end=\"2537\"><p data-start=\"2179\" data-end=\"2537\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><em data-start=\"2179\" data-end=\"2254\">\u201cI don't want to just give in to hype. I want something that's sure and makes sense.\u201d<\/em><\/span><br data-start=\"2254\" data-end=\"2257\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">So we tried <strong data-start=\"2283\" data-end=\"2305\">online freelancing<\/strong>, we sold <strong data-start=\"2324\" data-end=\"2345\">local products<\/strong>, and created a small <strong data-start=\"2370\" data-end=\"2393\">home-based business<\/strong> with little capital. While we were doing this, we also studied <strong data-start=\"2470\" data-end=\"2491\">digital marketing<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2495\" data-end=\"2513\">online selling<\/strong> to be more competitive.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"2539\" data-end=\"2812\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"2539\" data-end=\"2567\">This is the lesson that stands out.<\/strong> Not all income is for everyone. With so many <strong data-start=\"2619\" data-end=\"2627\">scams<\/strong> and ever-changing systems, <strong data-start=\"2674\" data-end=\"2687\">studying<\/strong> before entering is really important. And above all, you need to talk as a couple. Because if you don't agree, it's double the headache.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2814\" data-end=\"3038\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Now, Mark and I are more careful. We no longer rush into <strong data-start=\"2886\" data-end=\"2908\">networking invites<\/strong>. We have learned that <strong data-start=\"2931\" data-end=\"2939\">money<\/strong> is not something to be thrown into lightly.
