According to DOTr Secretary <strong data-start=\"376\" data-end=\"391\">Vince Dizon<\/strong>, it will start in <strong data-start=\"410\" data-end=\"423\">Cebu City<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"427\" data-end=\"441\">Davao City<\/strong> before the end of 2025, in accordance with the order of <strong data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"506\">President Marcos<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"511\" data-end=\"761\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"511\" data-end=\"520\">Dizon<\/strong> showed off the design of the new bus, which is inspired by the <strong data-start=\"569\" data-end=\"586\">blue color<\/strong> of the original version and has the iconic <strong data-start=\"627\" data-end=\"635\">heart<\/strong> in the center. The DOTr aims to have the buses on the road this year and gradually make it a <strong data-start=\"736\" data-end=\"758\">nationwide program<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"985\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">In his <strong data-start=\"774\" data-end=\"782\">SONA<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"816\">President Marcos<\/strong> announced the return of the Love Bus to provide free rides. This will be implemented first in Cebu and Davao, where there is currently a <strong data-start=\"942\" data-end=\"967\">free ride program<\/strong> on selected routes.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"987\" data-end=\"1317\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to a 2021 study, the <strong data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1049\">Love Bus<\/strong> was launched in the 1970s by the Metropolitan Manila Transit Corp. (MMTC) as the <strong data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1142\">first air-conditioned bus<\/strong> in Metro Manila.
