According to reports, the bus lost control while traversing a <strong data-start=\"397\" data-end=\"416\">sharp curve<\/strong> of the national highway.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"441\" data-end=\"731\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"441\" data-end=\"466\">The Southern Star bus<\/strong> with license plate JVL 125 and body number 12076 was traveling from Carmen to Tagbilaran City. <strong data-start=\"562\" data-end=\"592\">Around 8:40 a.m.<\/strong>, the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the steering wheel. As a result, <strong data-start=\"678\" data-end=\"728\">the bus overturned and fell to the side of the road<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"954\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"788\">According to Staff Sergeant Mark Christian Villagonzalo<\/strong>, desk officer of the Bilar Police Station, the driver lost control while negotiating a curve. As a result, the bus could not be saved and immediately overturned.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"956\" data-end=\"1130\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"956\" data-end=\"997\">Rescuers from the Bilar Rescue Unit<\/strong> immediately responded to the scene.
