They are among dozens of motorists who received penalties in the region.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"481\" data-end=\"804\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to LTO-7, <strong data-start=\"496\" data-end=\"512\">411 licenses<\/strong> were suspended from January to July 22. In addition, <strong data-start=\"585\" data-end=\"600\">12 licenses<\/strong> of drivers who accumulated more than <strong data-start=\"642\" data-end=\"663\">40 demerit points<\/strong> were also revoked. Among the violations are <strong data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"771\">reckless driving, no license, failure to wear seatbelts, overcharging<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"801\">franchise violation<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"1133\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">There are also <strong data-start=\"819\" data-end=\"834\">28 licenses<\/strong> that were recommended for revocation after being involved in accidents or seen violating the law in <strong data-start=\"926\" data-end=\"941\">viral videos<\/strong>. Meanwhile, three <strong data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"977\">PUV drivers<\/strong> lost their licenses after testing positive for <strong data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1042\">illegal drugs<\/strong> during random drug testing conducted at the Cebu North and South Bus Terminals during Holy Week.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1472\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1169\">Regional Director Glen Galario<\/strong> reminded that a <strong data-start=\"1191\" data-end=\"1245\">driver\u2019s license is a privilege and not a right<\/strong>. <strong data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1324\">certificates from accredited driving schools<\/strong> and passing an examination are still required before obtaining a license. \u201cThis is a warning not only to PUV drivers but to all motorists,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ang Land Transportation Office sa Central Visayas (LTO-7) ay nagbawi o nagsuspinde ng lisensya ng limang vloggers sa unang kalahati ng 2025 dahil sa paglabag sa batas trapiko.
