The situation was further worsened when it was accompanied by strong <strong data-start=\"461\" data-end=\"474\">high tide<\/strong> yesterday.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"487\" data-end=\"711\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Based on the report, the high tide reached <strong data-start=\"511\" data-end=\"529\">4.6 feet<\/strong> at around 6:14 a.m. As a result, several barangays such as <strong data-start=\"610\" data-end=\"656\">Frances, Meysulao, and San Miguel, Calumpit<\/strong> were submerged in floodwaters, with water reaching up to their necks.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"970\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the <strong data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"731\">PDRRMC<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"746\" data-end=\"771\">13 towns and 3 cities<\/strong> were affected, including Hagonoy, Calumpit, Balagtas, Bocaue, Paombong, Guiguinto, and the cities of <strong data-start=\"861\" data-end=\"896\">Meycauayan, Baliwag, and Malolos<\/strong>. Even the famous <strong data-start=\"916\" data-end=\"936\">Barasoain Church<\/strong> did not survive the flooding.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"1245\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The <strong data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1022\">Bustos and Ipo Dams<\/strong> also released water, further worsening the flooding. Due to the strong current, the bridge connecting <strong data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1139\">Do\u00f1a Remedios Trinidad<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1143\" data-end=\"1157\">San Miguel<\/strong> gave way. In some areas such as <strong data-start=\"1182\" data-end=\"1206\">Guiguinto and Bulakan<\/strong>, boats were used to cross.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1247\" data-end=\"1443\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">More than <strong data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1284\">900 families or 2,000 people<\/strong> were evacuated as of Monday afternoon.
