As a result, many areas were flooded, and <strong data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"446\">school hours<\/strong> and some government offices were suspended.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"487\" data-end=\"851\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"246\" data-end=\"253\">Metro Manila is like a \u201cWaterworld\u201d after being submerged in floods due to <strong data-start=\"326\" data-end=\"350\">incessant rains<\/strong> brought by the <strong data-start=\"359\" data-end=\"378\">Southwest winds<\/strong>. As a result, many areas were flooded, and <strong data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"446\">school hours<\/strong> and some government offices were suspended.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"853\" data-end=\"1115\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">In the <strong data-start=\"856\" data-end=\"874\">Marikina River<\/strong>, the water has reached <strong data-start=\"889\" data-end=\"901\">15 meters<\/strong>, so it has been raised to <strong data-start=\"935\" data-end=\"950\">first alarm<\/strong>. When it reaches <strong data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"984\">16 meters<\/strong>, residents living near the river will be notified to evacuate. If it reaches <strong data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1061\">18 meters<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1075\" data-end=\"1096\">forced evacuation<\/strong> will be implemented.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1321\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">PAGASA also warned that the <strong data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1145\">La Mesa Dam<\/strong> in Quezon City is about to overflow. As of Monday morning, it was at <strong data-start=\"1250\" data-end=\"1265\">76.6 meters<\/strong>, almost reaching the <strong data-start=\"1291\" data-end=\"1320\">80.1-meter spilling level<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1323\" data-end=\"1475\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Continue to exercise caution, especially in flood-prone areas.
