We've only been waiting a few months for the due date of the loan I took out\u2014and to this day, I still haven't made a proper payment.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"616\" data-end=\"1001\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It's like this\u2026 My girlfriend and I have been together for a long time and we have two children. Finally, we decided to get married. Of course, I also wanted to make her happy. So when she said she wanted a grand wedding, I automatically agreed. She said it would only happen once. She said she wanted something memorable, like something from a movie.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1447\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1041\">So, I found a way.<\/strong> I didn't want to disappoint her. I also didn't want to embarrass her. To be honest, I didn't really have enough savings for a grand wedding. But for her, I took out a big loan\u2014<strong data-start=\"1211\" data-end=\"1223\">P500,000<\/strong> from an acquaintance. To make sure I could get the loan, <strong data-start=\"1281\" data-end=\"1310\">I even mortgaged the house<\/strong> that I had already invested in. Yes, the house that cost P1.6 million. A house that would hopefully be our family's home forever.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1828\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1499\">Now, I only have two months left.<\/strong> I still don't have anything to pay. I'm stressed every day. Especially since I might lose the house. It hurts to think that after one day of a grand wedding, this is the replacement\u2014fear, nervousness, and so much pressure. I can't even tell my husband because I don't want us to fight. But honestly, I want to ask him: Is it really worth it?<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1830\" data-end=\"2194\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1830\" data-end=\"1901\">I don't blame him, but I wish he had thought about our future.<\/strong> If he had just agreed to a simple wedding, there wouldn't have been this problem. A simple wedding is okay as long as it's fun, right? Love is not measured by how much it costs. But because I wanted to make him happy, I gambled everything. Even our house, I almost lost it.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2196\" data-end=\"2563\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"2196\" data-end=\"2252\">Now, I'm just thinking about what I can do.<\/strong> I want to fight, I don't want to just give up. There are nights when I can't sleep thinking about where we'll live if we lose our house. But I have to be strong for my family. Especially our two children. I don't want to see them suffer because of a decision I didn't think about first.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2858\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2636\">So for those who are planning to get married, I hope this can be a useful lesson.<\/strong> It's not bad to dream of a beautiful wedding, but life after marriage is more important. Marriage is only one day, but the obligations are for a lifetime. Hopefully, we will choose more practical and humane decisions.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2860\" data-end=\"3160\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">For me now, I don't know if this is a happy ending or just a lesson learned. But one thing is for sure: I will do everything I can to not lose my family home.
