Not because of doubt. <strong data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"1005\">But because of lack.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1317\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">We still don't have enough savings. I know that no matter how simple the wedding is, there are still expenses. There are fees for the venue, for legal papers, for food\u2014even if it's just an intimate affair. And my worry is, <strong data-start=\"1191\" data-end=\"1229\">what will happen to us after the wedding?<\/strong> If we were to spend all our savings in one day, <strong data-start=\"1273\" data-end=\"1317\">what will we start as a couple?<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1319\" data-end=\"1604\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">I told my girlfriend this. But the pain\u2014<strong data-start=\"1366\" data-end=\"1405\">it's like she didn't understand me.<\/strong> She said she felt like I was just trying to avoid her. It's hard to hear that I'm just <strong data-start=\"1487\" data-end=\"1512\">making excuses<\/strong>, when all I want is <strong data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1604\">to make sure we don't start out in trouble.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1606\" data-end=\"1873\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">He wants to get married first before moving in together. I get it. I respect that. I'm also not in favor of just getting together without a clear commitment. So I said, <strong data-start=\"1757\" data-end=\"1803\">maybe we can have a civil wedding first.<\/strong> Simple, legal, but not a pain in the pocket. As long as we're together, that's enough.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1875\" data-end=\"2095\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">I also told her, <strong data-start=\"1897\" data-end=\"1938\">if she really wants a celebration<\/strong>, we can plan it in the future. When we can afford it. The celebration is better when we don't have to worry about how to pay tomorrow.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2097\" data-end=\"2359\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">It's not easy to understand. Especially when one of you is excited, while the other is cautious. But I want to fight for him. Not because I'm afraid of losing him, but because <strong data-start=\"2271\" data-end=\"2300\">I know he's the one.<\/strong> I just don't want to start our married life with problems.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2361\" data-end=\"2551\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">So here I am now, trying to explain:<\/span><br data-start=\"2403\" data-end=\"2406\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"2406\" data-end=\"2441\">Not because I'm not sure.<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"2441\" data-end=\"2444\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"2444\" data-end=\"2480\">Not because I don't love him.<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"2480\" data-end=\"2483\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"2483\" data-end=\"2551\">But because I want to prepare for the future for both of us.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2553\" data-end=\"2719\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Sometimes, \u201cno\u201d doesn\u2019t mean \u201cI don\u2019t.\u201d<\/span><br data-start=\"2607\" data-end=\"2610\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"2610\" data-end=\"2719\">Sometimes, love isn\u2019t just measured by how fast it happens, but how much thought goes into it.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2721\" data-end=\"2912\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">I hope one day, <strong data-start=\"2738\" data-end=\"2786\">he understands that I'm not making excuses.<\/strong> I'm just saving up energy, money, and a plan.
