While walking around the <strong data-start=\"513\" data-end=\"531\">Butuanon River<\/strong>, the water suddenly rose and overflowed, stranding them.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"818\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"616\">One<\/strong> of them, a <strong data-start=\"634\" data-end=\"646\">21-year-old<\/strong> man from <strong data-start=\"662\" data-end=\"684\">Barangay Kamputhaw<\/strong>, drowned after being swept away by strong currents. He was immediately taken to the hospital but was pronounced <strong data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"788\">dead on arrival<\/strong>, according to authorities.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1068\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The three hikers were <strong data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"858\">rescued<\/strong> by the <strong data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"895\">Special Rescue Force of BFP-7<\/strong> after they were found among <strong data-start=\"928\" data-end=\"947\">large rocks<\/strong> next to the waterfall. The rescuers used a <strong data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"992\">rope bridge<\/strong> to save them even in the midst of <strong data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1067\">bad weather<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1228\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the investigation, two groups of hikers asked for help from the authorities.
