He doesn't do anything bad, but I can't take him. He seems to have a magnet for annoyance. Whenever he comes near, it feels like my head is heating up even though he hasn't said anything. Sometimes, when he jokes, my eyes hurt even though I haven't heard the punchline yet.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"902\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">And yes, he was dating me back then.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"904\" data-end=\"1163\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">He tries to get to know me, sends me snacks, sometimes even milk tea (in fairness). But I'm a deadma. Sometimes, I even yell at him. He doesn't have a chance with me\u2014that's what I think. Maybe because back then, I had a boyfriend who I thought was \"the one\".<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1400\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">My boyfriend was handsome. Shapely. Smells good. Lots of likes on IG. But\u2026 he wasn't for long. One day, I found out I had two more \"partners.\" It hurts, man. It's like our relationship was turned into a group project.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1402\" data-end=\"1483\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">So there you go, break. Broken hearted. What you thought was your happy ending, turns out to be a plot twist.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vce-row-container\" data-vce-boxed-width=\"true\"><div class=\"vce-row vce-row--col-gap-30 vce-row-equal-height vce-row-content--top\" id=\"el-d3128206\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-d3128206\"><div class=\"vce-row-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\"><div class=\"vce-col vce-col--md-auto vce-col--xs-1 vce-col--xs-last vce-col--xs-first vce-col--sm-last vce-col--sm-first vce-col--md-last vce-col--lg-last vce-col--xl-last vce-col--md-first vce-col--lg-first vce-col--xl-first\" id=\"el-b4395405\"><div class=\"vce-col-inner\" data-vce-do-apply=\"border margin background  el-b4395405\"><div class=\"vce-col-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\" data-vce-do-apply=\"padding el-b4395405\"><div class=\"vce-text-block\"><div class=\"vce-text-block-wrapper vce\" id=\"el-d4e9a78a\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-d4e9a78a\"><p data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"1670\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">After the breakup, I lurked on social media\u2014usual healing process. And as I was scrolling, I suddenly remembered him. My suitor who I used to hate.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1672\" data-end=\"1804\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">I remembered how consistent he was, how much effort he put in, and how kind he was. I was curious. <em data-start=\"1779\" data-end=\"1804\">\"How is he doing?\"<\/em><\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1806\" data-end=\"1937\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I stalked him. There you go, I'm becoming toxic to myself again, but I can't stop myself. Until I saw him... he already has a girlfriend.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"1985\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">And not just a girlfriend\u2014she's also my friend.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1987\" data-end=\"1992\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Boom.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1994\" data-end=\"2084\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It feels like a balloon has burst in my chest. I don't know if it's jealousy, regret, or karma.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2086\" data-end=\"2126\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">All I know is, I suddenly fell silent.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vce-row-container\" data-vce-boxed-width=\"true\"><div class=\"vce-row vce-row--col-gap-30 vce-row-equal-height vce-row-content--top\" id=\"el-e4711354\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-e4711354\"><div class=\"vce-row-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\"><div class=\"vce-col vce-col--md-auto vce-col--xs-1 vce-col--xs-last vce-col--xs-first vce-col--sm-last vce-col--sm-first vce-col--md-last vce-col--lg-last vce-col--xl-last vce-col--md-first vce-col--lg-first vce-col--xl-first\" id=\"el-098aae47\"><div class=\"vce-col-inner\" data-vce-do-apply=\"border margin background  el-098aae47\"><div class=\"vce-col-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\" data-vce-do-apply=\"padding el-098aae47\"><div class=\"vce-text-block\"><div class=\"vce-text-block-wrapper vce\" id=\"el-d5468ee5\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-d5468ee5\"><p data-start=\"2152\" data-end=\"2410\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I don't mean to cause trouble. I don't mean to kidnap her. But I just want to apologize. I want to tell her that I realized all her efforts before. I want to admit that I was wrong for not appreciating her when she was still single.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2412\" data-end=\"2489\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">So I sent a message. I'm still not in a relationship, but I'm more open to love and I know how to appreciate better. I've learned that love is not measured by appearance, IG likes, or how good at making people laugh. Sometimes, it's just about the person who stays quiet even if you don't like them anymore.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"3091\" data-end=\"3264\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If I could go back in time, maybe I wouldn't yell at him. Maybe I would accept the milk tea. But I wouldn't go back. Charge it to experience. Move on. Grow. Love again.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"3631\" data-end=\"3787\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Because he's not the only one with a good job and good sense in the world. There are many more.
