Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu<\/strong> early Wednesday morning. The victim was identified as <strong data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"636\">Johnny Burdas<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"638\" data-end=\"657\">47 years old<\/strong>, and a resident of <strong data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"690\">Brgy. Bankal<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"695\" data-end=\"1024\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the <strong data-start=\"703\" data-end=\"728\">Lapu-Lapu City Police<\/strong>, at around <strong data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"749\">1:00 AM<\/strong>, residents heard <strong data-start=\"764\" data-end=\"790\">three gunshots<\/strong>. The next morning, a taxi with license plate <strong data-start=\"855\" data-end=\"867\">MRG-1627<\/strong> was found parked in a vacant lot. Inside, Burdas was found with a bullet wound to the <strong data-start=\"953\" data-end=\"963\">chest<\/strong> and was dead, with the taxi's engine still running.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1245\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">P\/Lt. Col. Christian Torres said he was first shot from outside the taxi and the bullet penetrated the <strong data-start=\"1131\" data-end=\"1145\">windshield<\/strong>. The next shot hit him in the <strong data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1192\">shoulder<\/strong> and near the <strong data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1215\">heart<\/strong>, killing him instantly.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1247\" data-end=\"1398\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Although the motive being investigated is <strong data-start=\"1256\" data-end=\"1274\">robbery-holdup<\/strong>, police are not ruling out the possibility of <strong data-start=\"1354\" data-end=\"1375\">personal grudge<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"1378\" data-end=\"1395\">love triangle<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1400\" data-end=\"1519\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1439\">CCTV footage<\/strong> in the area is now being reviewed and police are already looking for a <strong data-start=\"1465\" data-end=\"1487\">person of interest<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ang isang taxi driver ay nasawi matapos barilin ng mga hinihinalang holdaper sa Brgy.
