According to him, there are two ways to do this.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"865\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">One \u200b\u200bof the ways is to use Republic Act 1405 or the <strong data-start=\"627\" data-end=\"647\">Bank Secrecy Law<\/strong>. Although the law states that bank deposits are <strong data-start=\"678\" data-end=\"694\">confidential<\/strong>, there are <strong data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"735\">exceptions<\/strong>. These include cases of <strong data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"784\">impeachment<\/strong> or if the depositor voluntarily gives <strong data-start=\"823\" data-end=\"837\">permission<\/strong> to inspect the account.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"867\" data-end=\"1073\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Carpio said the <strong data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"929\">House prosecution<\/strong> could file a <strong data-start=\"933\" data-end=\"972\">motion for subpoena duces tecum<\/strong>. This is an order from the court to produce documents, such as Sara Duterte's bank records at BPI.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1075\" data-end=\"1230\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">He said, \u201cNow, since this is an impeachment case, it is natural for the prosecution to file a subpoena duces tecum to obtain Sara\u2019s bank records from BPI.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1416\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Sara Duterte faced impeachment in February.
