A young woman of the right age, with a job, dreams, and like most of us\u2014with a <strong data-start=\"391\" data-end=\"422\">heart that knows how to love<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"425\" data-end=\"840\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">I've had a boyfriend for a long time. He's not famous, he's not rich, but I've found true happiness in him. We never run out of reasons to laugh, talk, and dream together. He's a simple man, respectful of me and my dreams, and most of all, knows how to listen and understand. I felt a kind of love with him that I never thought was possible.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"842\" data-end=\"938\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">But despite all this, there is a <strong data-start=\"878\" data-end=\"899\">big problem<\/strong>. <strong data-start=\"918\" data-end=\"937\">My parents don't like him<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"1323\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"962\">They don't like him<\/strong> not because he's a bad person, but because he's supposedly <strong data-start=\"1021\" data-end=\"1045\">low in life<\/strong>. He doesn't have a permanent job, hasn't graduated from college, and comes from a poor family. To them, he's not the \"right\" man for me. I've heard the words, \"You're too bad, son. We have high hopes for you.\"<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1325\" data-end=\"1491\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">It hurts. <strong data-start=\"1334\" data-end=\"1391\">It hurts to hear that they underestimate the person I love<\/strong>, even though they don't know him or her very well. So for a few months, we became <strong data-start=\"1479\" data-end=\"1490\">secret<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vce-row-container\" data-vce-boxed-width=\"true\"><div class=\"vce-row vce-row--col-gap-30 vce-row-equal-height vce-row-content--top\" id=\"el-ddc5055e\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-ddc5055e\"><div class=\"vce-row-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\"><div class=\"vce-col vce-col--md-auto vce-col--xs-1 vce-col--xs-last vce-col--xs-first vce-col--sm-last vce-col--sm-first vce-col--md-last vce-col--lg-last vce-col--xl-last vce-col--md-first vce-col--lg-first vce-col--xl-first\" id=\"el-0bce1e6c\"><div class=\"vce-col-inner\" data-vce-do-apply=\"border margin background  el-0bce1e6c\"><div class=\"vce-col-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\" data-vce-do-apply=\"padding el-0bce1e6c\"><div class=\"vce-text-block\"><div class=\"vce-text-block-wrapper vce\" id=\"el-33766ea4\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-33766ea4\"><p data-start=\"1498\" data-end=\"1841\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">On ordinary days, it's like nothing happened. My boyfriend and I go out when we know it's safe and no one will see. He can't visit the house. When my parents ask where I am, <strong data-start=\"1757\" data-end=\"1775\">I deny it<\/strong>\u2014I'll say I'm with a friend, or I'm on a work trip.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1843\" data-end=\"2015\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">But every time I go home, <strong data-start=\"1868\" data-end=\"1881\">there's guilt<\/strong>. It's like something's heavy in my chest. Because no matter how much I love him, I can't show it to the people I love too\u2014<strong data-start=\"1996\" data-end=\"2014\">my family<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2017\" data-end=\"2451\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">There are also nights when <strong data-start=\"2037\" data-end=\"2074\">I cry from exhaustion and confusion<\/strong>. Was I wrong to fight for this love? Am I right to try to keep our relationship going even though my parents don't approve? Every time I look at my boyfriend, I see how serious he is about me. He wants to marry me one day, he wants us to move forward in life together. A person does not have to be rich to truly love. <strong data-start=\"2661\" data-end=\"2746\">What matters is the respect, concern, and dreams you build together.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2748\" data-end=\"3041\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">But it's also true\u2014we can't ignore <strong data-start=\"2801\" data-end=\"2813\">parents<\/strong>. Not because they just want to control us, but because <strong data-start=\"2873\" data-end=\"2903\">they're afraid of hurting us<\/strong>. Sometimes, they don't show it in the right way. Instead of supporting us, they set standards that are difficult to meet.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"3043\" data-end=\"3336\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"3043\" data-end=\"3098\">I realized that I couldn't hide forever. I was tired of always being nervous, always afraid. So a friend advised me: \u201cTry to introduce him not as a boyfriend, but as a <strong data-start=\"3262\" data-end=\"3278\">good person<\/strong>. Let him show his goodness himself.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vce-row-container\" data-vce-boxed-width=\"true\"><div class=\"vce-row vce-row--col-gap-30 vce-row-equal-height vce-row-content--top\" id=\"el-e3f36a22\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-e3f36a22\"><div class=\"vce-row-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\"><div class=\"vce-col vce-col--md-auto vce-col--xs-1 vce-col--xs-last vce-col--xs-first vce-col--sm-last vce-col--sm-first vce-col--md-last vce-col--lg-last vce-col--xl-last vce-col--md-first vce-col--lg-first vce-col--xl-first\" id=\"el-135f2263\"><div class=\"vce-col-inner\" data-vce-do-apply=\"border margin background  el-135f2263\"><div class=\"vce-col-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\" data-vce-do-apply=\"padding el-135f2263\"><div class=\"vce-text-block\"><div class=\"vce-text-block-wrapper vce\" id=\"el-e74d7aa9\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-e74d7aa9\"><p data-start=\"3343\" data-end=\"3678\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Since then, we have slowly developed the plan. It has not been easy, but little by little, we have introduced him in the <strong data-start=\"3489\" data-end=\"3506\">right way<\/strong>. I believe <strong data-start=\"3874\" data-end=\"3895\">the day will come<\/strong> when we no longer need to hide our love.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"3957\" data-end=\"4223\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">For those like me who love secretly, <strong data-start=\"4003\" data-end=\"4024\">you are not alone<\/strong>. Love is not something to be ashamed of. In time, when your foundation is strong and the minds of the people around you are open, <strong data-start=\"4168\" data-end=\"4223\">your love will be open and complete.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"4225\" data-end=\"4432\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">And on that day, you will feel <strong data-start=\"4263\" data-end=\"4321\">all the hardships of hiding have their equal comfort<\/strong>.
