An investigation by the <strong data-start=\"399\" data-end=\"431\">Manila Police District (MPD)<\/strong> revealed that the <strong data-start=\"448\" data-end=\"462\">anesthesia<\/strong> administered to the boy was the possible cause of his death.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"530\" data-end=\"745\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the <strong data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"561\">autopsy results<\/strong>, there was a <strong data-start=\"576\" data-end=\"603\">subarachnoid hemorrhage<\/strong> or bleeding in the brain of the victim. The MPD explained that this was related to the misuse of anesthesia during the circumcision.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"984\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">A <strong data-start=\"751\" data-end=\"770\">female witness<\/strong> came forward to authorities and said she saw the actual injection of anesthesia. It was also discovered that the person performing the circumcision was not a licensed doctor but a midwife who had previously performed circumcisions.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1197\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">As of now, <strong data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1029\">the suspect has not been caught<\/strong>, and he will face charges of <strong data-start=\"1063\" data-end=\"1108\">Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide<\/strong>, violation of the <strong data-start=\"1122\" data-end=\"1145\">Medical Act of 1959<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1150\" data-end=\"1194\">Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1199\" data-end=\"1283\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The investigation is ongoing while the midwife is being sought to be held accountable for the incident.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ang isang 10-anyos na batang lalaki ay nasawi matapos ang kaniyang pagtutuli sa Tondo, Maynila.
