According to authorities, the incident occurred around <strong data-start=\"457\" data-end=\"470\">9:45 p.m.<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"474\" data-end=\"493\">no one was injured<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"496\" data-end=\"669\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the <strong data-start=\"504\" data-end=\"533\">Airport Police Department<\/strong>, the van entered between <strong data-start=\"568\" data-end=\"578\">Bay 13<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"582\" data-end=\"592\">Bay 14<\/strong>. The <strong data-start=\"598\" data-end=\"620\">56-year-old driver<\/strong> from <strong data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"639\">Zamboanga<\/strong> is now under investigation.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"671\" data-end=\"873\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Based on a statement from <strong data-start=\"690\" data-end=\"721\">New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC)<\/strong>, the driver said he swerved to avoid another vehicle. Airport security responded immediately and the van was immediately removed from the area.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"1127\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The NNIC clarified that the area where the van entered does not have <strong data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"952\">bollards<\/strong> because it is not a high-traffic zone. This is included in the audited portion of the <strong data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1058\">bollard placements<\/strong>, and they are currently making <strong data-start=\"1097\" data-end=\"1126\">security improvements<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1129\" data-end=\"1343\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1172\">MIAA General Manager Eric Ines<\/strong>, although no one was injured, he ordered a <strong data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1242\">thorough investigation<\/strong> and coordination with the <strong data-start=\"1267\" data-end=\"1303\">Land Transportation Office (LTO)<\/strong> for possible <strong data-start=\"1322\" data-end=\"1332\">penalty<\/strong> against the driver.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ang isang van ay aksidenteng pumasok sa passenger loading area ng NAIA Terminal 2 noong Biyernes ng gabi.
