The operation took place at a coffee shop in <strong data-start=\"497\" data-end=\"515\">Ermita, Manila<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"518\" data-end=\"770\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the complaint of <strong data-start=\"537\" data-end=\"553\">Kenji Otsuka<\/strong> of <strong data-start=\"557\" data-end=\"596\">Otsuka Freight Forwarders Co., Ltd.<\/strong>, the brothers demanded <strong data-start=\"616\" data-end=\"632\">P1.9 million<\/strong> from him in exchange for faster processing at Customs. He also allegedly gave <strong data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"745\">P500,000<\/strong> as \u201c<strong data-start=\"754\" data-end=\"768\">lubricant<\/strong>.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"1067\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Deputy Commissioner Juvymax Uy explained that the P500,000 was allegedly an <strong data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"819\">engagement fee<\/strong>, which included <strong data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"863\">broker\u2019s fee<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"910\" data-end=\"927\">customs taxes<\/strong>. But when the shipment arrived, Wyeth allegedly said that it was <strong data-start=\"987\" data-end=\"1000\">on hold<\/strong> and that additional payment was required so that it would not be <strong data-start=\"1054\" data-end=\"1066\">seized<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1069\" data-end=\"1247\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Customs Commissioner Bien Rubio condemned the illegal activities of the brokers and commended the swift action of the operatives.
