One example: an old video from Sudan mistakenly claimed a missile strike in Pakistan. There was even an AI chatbot that said a fake video of a giant anaconda was real \u2014 even though it was AI-generated.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"808\" data-end=\"1067\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"808\" data-end=\"928\">According to NewsGuard and Columbia University's Tow Center, AI chatbots are not yet reliable when it comes to breaking news.<\/strong> They often make up stories, invent information, or spread <em data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1031\">biased answers<\/em> especially when the topic is sensitive.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1069\" data-end=\"1289\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1069\" data-end=\"1136\">As tech companies reduce the number of human fact-checkers,<\/strong> more and more people are turning to AI as a source of news.
