This is a <strong data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"524\">disease transmitted from animals<\/strong> such as horses, buffaloes, and goats. They both have <strong data-start=\"580\" data-end=\"620\">illnesses such as high blood and diabetes<\/strong> and are confined to a hospital in <strong data-start=\"649\" data-end=\"668\">Negros Oriental<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"671\" data-end=\"1010\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"680\" data-end=\"697\">Dr. Nikka Hao<\/strong> of DOH-NIR, there are <strong data-start=\"718\" data-end=\"751\">medicines and ways to prevent<\/strong> glanders. It is said to be <strong data-start=\"782\" data-end=\"809\">rarely transmitted from person to person<\/strong>. The DOH also advises avoiding <strong data-start=\"846\" data-end=\"877\">direct contact with animals<\/strong> and eating meat from sick animals. Glanders have <strong data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"947\">symptoms<\/strong> such as <strong data-start=\"969\" data-end=\"1009\">fever, cough, and body aches<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1012\" data-end=\"1216\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">DOH's <strong data-start=\"1024\" data-end=\"1059\">surveillance and contact tracing<\/strong> continues along with <strong data-start=\"1078\" data-end=\"1098\">community visits<\/strong> to detect symptoms early. <strong data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1157\">animal testing<\/strong> is being led by the <strong data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1215\">Department of Agriculture<\/strong>.<\/span>...<\/p><p data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1514\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">In <strong data-start=\"1221\" data-end=\"1230\">Bohol<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1254\" data-end=\"1282\">Provincial Health Office<\/strong> issued an advisory due to the presence of <strong data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1327\">mpox (monkeypox)<\/strong> in other provinces. According to <strong data-start=\"1357\" data-end=\"1381\">Dr. Fruserma Mary Uy<\/strong>, even though there is no case in Bohol yet, everyone is encouraged to <strong data-start=\"1439\" data-end=\"1481\">increase information and education<\/strong> on <strong data-start=\"1493\" data-end=\"1513\">prevention of mpox<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1516\" data-end=\"1674\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Dr. Uy added that <strong data-start=\"1550\" data-end=\"1608\">early consultation and avoiding crowded places<\/strong> are important.
