According to MMDA Traffic Enforcement Group Director Atty. Vic Nu\u00f1ez, the violations were monitored from morning to midnight.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"805\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">This is lower than the <strong data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"540\">3,900 violations<\/strong> recorded on the same day last year without NCAP. Some of the <strong data-start=\"620\" data-end=\"643\">common violations<\/strong> include failure to obey traffic signs, using the <strong data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"711\">EDSA busway<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"715\" data-end=\"734\">motorcycle lane<\/strong> without permission, and violating loading and unloading areas.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"1084\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">MMDA Chairman Romando Artes explained that in 2022, the total number of violations during the NCAP was only <strong data-start=\"876\" data-end=\"894\">114,000<\/strong>. But in 2023, while the program was suspended due to the <strong data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1010\">TRO<\/strong>, it swelled to almost <strong data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1054\">391,000 violations<\/strong> even without any tickets issued.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1086\" data-end=\"1281\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">This shows that without NCAP or traffic enforcers, more people violate traffic laws.
