He would always bother me while I was studying. But even though he was annoying, I couldn't deny that I also enjoyed his teasing. Until one day, he suddenly became a part of my everyday life.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"550\" data-end=\"903\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">We developed without us realizing it. It was so natural \u2014 we had lunch together, went home together, laughed together. But he disappeared from school for a week. When he came back, he was quiet and seemed to be going through something. He told me that he had a kidney problem and needed a transplant. He didn't want to tell anyone else, but he couldn't hide it from me.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"905\" data-end=\"1259\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Because I love him, I immediately got tested to see if I could be a donor. And boom! <strong data-start=\"987\" data-end=\"1006\">I was a match.<\/strong> I told him, \u201cOh, there you have it, you have an extra kidney. It\u2019s still free.\u201d He almost cried with joy. \u201cAre you sure?\u201d he asked. \u201cOf course. If it\u2019s for you, why not?\u201d I replied. He added, \u201cI\u2019ll get better, I promise. I owe you milk tea every day!\u201d<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1558\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">On the day of the surgery, we were both nervous. But as we held hands before entering the operating room, we knew we could do it. After the surgery, we were both tired and looked exhausted \u2014 but to be fair, we both recovered together. We still struggled even with the bandages on our stomachs.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1560\" data-end=\"1890\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">As we healed, our relationship became stronger. There were no more secrets, no more secrets \u2014 literally <strong data-start=\"1675\" data-end=\"1725\">I gave my kidney for the person I love.<\/strong> And Gelo, every day, makes me feel that my decision was not wasted. He once said, \u201cYou are the only person I know who gave a kidney out of love\u2026 you really are!\u201d<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1892\" data-end=\"2077\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Now, Gelo is back, healthier and sweeter. And me?
