According to the report, <strong data-start=\"409\" data-end=\"427\">security guards<\/strong> saw them entering a <strong data-start=\"450\">manhole<\/strong>, so they immediately reported it to barangay officials.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"806\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">When the guards arrived, they found two men at the bottom of a five-meter-deep manhole. They reportedly almost refused to come inside, but were immediately <strong data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"709\">punished<\/strong>. They were found to be in possession of <strong data-start=\"736\" data-end=\"752\">copper wires<\/strong> and a <strong data-start=\"762\" data-end=\"773\">hacksaw<\/strong> used to cut the cable.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"808\" data-end=\"1094\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"817\" data-end=\"846\">PLtCol. Jose Luis Aguirre<\/strong> of the <strong data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"880\">Holy Spirit Police Station<\/strong>, the cables belong to a <strong data-start=\"900\" data-end=\"930\">telecommunications company<\/strong>. The suspects may be selling them for cash. Police are still investigating whether they are part of the group involved in the <strong data-start=\"1067\" data-end=\"1093\">cable theft in QC<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1096\" data-end=\"1285\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The two suspects' defense is that they were not the ones who cut the cable. According to one, they were just looking for small pieces of <strong data-start=\"1220\" data-end=\"1229\">copper<\/strong> to sell, because they had no <strong data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1269\">money<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1273\" data-end=\"1284\">jobs<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1287\" data-end=\"1450\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">They are currently detained at the <strong data-start=\"1320\" data-end=\"1350\">Holy Spirit Police Station<\/strong> and will face charges under the <strong data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1449\">Anti-Cable Television and Cable Internet Tapping Act of 2013<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ang dalawang lalaki ay nahuli habang nagnanakaw ng cable wires na nagkakahalaga ng P117,050 sa Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City noong Lunes ng hapon.
