He has been identified as <strong data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"475\">Jang Seong Woong<\/strong>, who has a <strong data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"515\">red notice from Interpol<\/strong> for <strong data-start=\"525\" data-end=\"547\">kidnapping case<\/strong> in Korea.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"561\" data-end=\"840\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">He has been in the country for a long time, according to the NBI. He arrived in <strong data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"651\">2017 as a tourist<\/strong> and was allowed to stay for 30 days. But he requested an extension and later <strong data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"757\">stopped reporting<\/strong> to the Bureau of Immigration in 2020, so he was considered <strong data-start=\"822\" data-end=\"837\">overstaying<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"842\" data-end=\"1057\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The <strong data-start=\"846\" data-end=\"866\">arrest operation<\/strong> was successful with the help of the NBI, Bureau of Immigration Fugitive Search Unit, Philippine Air Force, and Korean National Police. According to the NBI, <strong data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1041\">he has been hiding<\/strong> in the Philippines for eight years.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1059\" data-end=\"1217\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The Bureau of Immigration also confirmed that Jang was not only involved in the case in Korea, but also in <strong data-start=\"1164\" data-end=\"1187\">scamming activities<\/strong> while staying in the country.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1219\" data-end=\"1457\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1219\" data-end=\"1260\">NBI Chief Jaime Santiago<\/strong> welcomed the arrest and thanked the various agencies for their assistance.
