She is currently detained at the <strong data-start=\"376\" data-end=\"395\">Pasig City Jail<\/strong> for also <strong data-start=\"409\" data-end=\"423\">26 counts<\/strong> of violating the <strong data-start=\"439\" data-end=\"475\">Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA)<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"478\" data-end=\"688\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">He is also facing <strong data-start=\"500\" data-end=\"522\">5 additional charges<\/strong> under <strong data-start=\"536\" data-end=\"553\">Section 4 (b)<\/strong> of the same law. This is for allegedly <strong data-start=\"597\" data-end=\"657\">converting, transferring, and using money or property<\/strong> derived from illegal activities.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"690\" data-end=\"958\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The case includes his <strong data-start=\"717\" data-end=\"733\">parents<\/strong> <strong data-start=\"742\" data-end=\"772\">Jian Zhong Go and Lin Wenyi<\/strong>, as well as his <strong data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"813\">siblings<\/strong> <strong data-start=\"822\" data-end=\"842\">Shiela and Seimen<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"863\">26 others<\/strong> involved in the <strong data-start=\"878\" data-end=\"925\">Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO)<\/strong> operation in the <strong data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"957\">Baofu compound<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"960\" data-end=\"1222\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the <strong data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"994\">48-page resolution<\/strong> of the DOJ, the proceeds from the <strong data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1040\">POGO operation<\/strong> were allegedly transferred to other <strong data-start=\"1068\" data-end=\"1088\">legal businesses<\/strong> of the Guo family. <strong data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1119\">In 2023<\/strong>, authorities raided the said premises and arrested <strong data-start=\"1180\" data-end=\"1195\">300 foreigners<\/strong>, most of them <strong data-start=\"1210\" data-end=\"1221\">Chinese<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1522\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1248\">On March 13, 2024<\/strong>, the compound was raided again due to reports of <strong data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1369\">labor trafficking, crypto scams, love scams, and investment fraud<\/strong>. <strong data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1432\">Prosecutor General Richard Anthony Fadullon<\/strong> confirmed that the case has been filed in the <strong data-start=\"1460\" data-end=\"1478\">Capas court<\/strong> and the resolution was issued in <strong data-start=\"1512\" data-end=\"1521\">January<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ang dating mayor ng Bamban, Tarlac na si Alice Guo ay sinampahan ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ng 62 kaso ng money laundering.
