One of the incidents occurred on <strong data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"511\">May 1<\/strong>, where <strong data-start=\"523\" data-end=\"547\">10 people died<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"551\" data-end=\"571\">37 were injured<\/strong> after a <strong data-start=\"590\" data-end=\"623\">crash at the SCTEX Toll Plaza<\/strong>. The cause of the incident was allegedly <strong data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"685\">the driver of the <strong data-start=\"689\" data-end=\"728\">Pangasinan Solid North Transit Inc.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"730\" data-end=\"981\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Just a few days later, <strong data-start=\"760\" data-end=\"789\">two people were killed<\/strong> after <strong data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"823\">an SUV<\/strong> crashed into the departure area of \u200b\u200b<strong data-start=\"846\" data-end=\"865\">NAIA Terminal 1<\/strong> in Pasay City. According to reports, <strong data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"919\">the driver panicked<\/strong> and instead of hitting the brakes, <strong data-start=\"953\" data-end=\"980\">he stepped on the accelerator<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1230\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1009\">Senator Tulfo<\/strong>, although many say the accident was unintentional, it was <strong data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1103\">preventable<\/strong>. He criticized the case of the bus driver at SCTEX and requested that <strong data-start=\"1164\" data-end=\"1180\">an investigation be conducted<\/strong> into whether he was <strong data-start=\"1193\" data-end=\"1229\">tired or overworked<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1486\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The senator added that the LTO should <strong data-start=\"1260\" data-end=\"1279\">tighten the <strong data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1312\">screening of drivers<\/strong> before issuing licenses.
