I was quiet, serious, and enjoying what I was reading\u2014until someone suddenly approached me. A woman, with an angelic face, smiled and said, \u201cHi, I\u2019m Dafany!\u201d I just raised an eyebrow and turned my attention back to the book. But she didn\u2019t back down. \u201cHey! Talk to me,\u201d she teased. I rolled my eyes, but I noticed the sincerity on her face. And honestly\u2026 she was beautiful.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"1222\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I was surprised when he suddenly said he liked me. Why, straightforward! And what was even more surprising, he wanted to be my boyfriend\u2014but only for four days! \u201cWhat\u2019s this, a promo?\u201d I joked in my mind. But since he was so naughty, and I didn\u2019t even know why, I agreed. \u201cOkay,\u201d I said, \u201cjust for four days!\u201d He was so happy, as if he had won a raffle. It was funny but his joy was contagious, and it was as if my day suddenly brightened.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1593\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The next day, first date! We just had a street food date on the corner but it felt like we had been together for years. There was no need for anything, a story here, a laugh there. I was happy with his simplicity, his honesty. He chose a fishball and ate it like a kid at a fair. He made me laugh with his jokes, and I felt so light whenever I was with him.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"2044\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Three days passed, full of stories, laughter, and a little teasing. But on the fourth day, I suddenly thought: \"Wait, this seems serious, huh?\" I went to their house to tell them that I hoped our relationship would continue. But when I got there, it was like a different Dafany appeared to me. She didn't know me! \"Huh? Boyfriend? You?\" she laughed. I was surprised, but I noticed a sadness in her father's eyes when he approached me.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2046\" data-end=\"2462\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cIs your name Marc? You're the guy my daughter wants. I'm sorry, she has a memory problem. Sometimes she wakes up thinking she's in a different time. So yesterday, she thought you were still there.\u201d I couldn't hold back my tears. Even though it hurt, I smiled. I only understood now\u2014I wasn't her girlfriend for four days.
