The suspect was identified as <strong data-start=\"425\" data-end=\"451\">Jeffrey Morong Mendoza<\/strong> from <strong data-start=\"457\" data-end=\"477\">San Mateo, Rizal<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"480\" data-end=\"811\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"489\" data-end=\"522\">LTO Chairman Vigor Mendoza II<\/strong>, he discovered the scheme after hearing complaints from several <strong data-start=\"598\" data-end=\"615\">bus operators<\/strong>. They were being paid <strong data-start=\"639\" data-end=\"651\">P250,000<\/strong> each in exchange for their buses being released from impounding. He immediately ordered an investigation by <strong data-start=\"757\" data-end=\"777\">LTO intelligence<\/strong> and coordination with the <strong data-start=\"803\" data-end=\"810\">ACG<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"1111\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The victims contacted the <strong data-start=\"848\" data-end=\"855\">LTO<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"859\" data-end=\"866\">ACG<\/strong> to catch the suspect. Mendoza was caught after he accepted <strong data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"965\">P1,000 marked money<\/strong> at the <strong data-start=\"969\" data-end=\"995\">Cubao Terminal Complex<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1014\">Quezon City<\/strong>. Recovered from him were <strong data-start=\"1044\" data-end=\"1060\">boodle money<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1062\" data-end=\"1082\">driver\u2019s license<\/strong>, and two <strong data-start=\"1096\" data-end=\"1110\">cellphones<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1463\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Mendoza commended the authorities for the quick arrest of the suspect. He stressed that he will monitor the case to ensure that the suspect receives the appropriate punishment.
