data-start=\"172\" data-end=\"199\">7.7 magnitude earthquake<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"203\" data-end=\"224\">Mandalay, Myanmar<\/strong> on <strong data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"249\">March 28, 2025<\/strong>. In a video by <strong data-start=\"269\" data-end=\"301\">Bayan Patroller Rojan Talita<\/strong>, he can be seen calling the couple's names in front of the collapsed <strong data-start=\"376\" data-end=\"401\">Sky Villa condominium<\/strong>, where they live. According to Rojan, he saw Edsil's <strong data-start=\"460\" data-end=\"476\">brown jacket<\/strong> at the scene of the incident.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"512\" data-end=\"847\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Edsil is a teacher at the <strong data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"581\">Mandalay International School of Acumen<\/strong>, while Alexis is a friend of Rojan. They are among four <strong data-start=\"645\" data-end=\"657\">Filipinos<\/strong> who are still missing after the earthquake. Some of Alexis' personal belongings, such as <strong data-start=\"750\" data-end=\"802\">white sandals, a blue dress, and a computer chair<\/strong>, were found near the collapsed building.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"849\" data-end=\"1235\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Rojan's story is that he was eating lunch with other <strong data-start=\"914\" data-end=\"932\">Filipino teachers<\/strong> when the earthquake struck at around <strong data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"975\">12:40 PM<\/strong>. They immediately ran to the <strong data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1014\">open field<\/strong> for safety, and he saw the <strong data-start=\"1065\" data-end=\"1085\">walls and doors<\/strong> of their school collapse. Many students and teachers panicked, especially those who had never experienced such a strong earthquake before.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"1237\" data-end=\"1587\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">For now, the <strong data-start=\"1275\" data-end=\"1300\">school administration<\/strong> has temporarily housed Rojan and other teachers inside the school. Their school has <strong data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1367\">solar panels<\/strong> so they have <strong data-start=\"1399\" data-end=\"1436\">electricity, food, water, and WiFi<\/strong>. The <strong data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1499\">Filipino community<\/strong> is also helping by providing clothing and other necessities for those affected by the earthquake.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"1589\" data-end=\"1854\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Despite the situation, Rojan has no plans to return home because he is the <strong data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"1675\">breadwinner<\/strong> of his family in <strong data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1716\">Dumaguete City<\/strong>.
